The League of Women Voters of Aurora will sponsor an online forum at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 13, featuring the candidates running in the Democratic primary for a seat from District 6 on the Kane County Board.
The two candidates – Ron Ford and Sonia Garcia – have accepted in the invitation to participate, according to a press release about the event.
There is no one running in the Republican primary for the District 6 seat on the board. The primary election is set for March 19.
The Feb. 13 forum will be streamed live on the League of Women Voters’ Facebook page at hKps://www.facebook.com/ LWVAuroraArea.
The forum will be recorded and available online afterwords on the League’s Facebook page and on the League’s website at lwvauroraarea.org .
Unlike a debate, a forum involves a neutral, trained moderator from outside the district who presents questions to candidates for their live responses, according to the release.
