New Delhi: Orhan Awatramani, popularly known as Orry, is a social media sensation and is friends with almost entire Bollywood. He was also a guest at the much-talked-about Anant Ambani-Radhika Merchant’s lavish pre-wedding celebrations in Jamnagar and was seen interacting with Rihanna. In a recent interview, Orry gave details about his lucrative earnings from attending high-profile events.
In a conversation with Forbes India, Orry spoke about how he likes to spread joy and happiness through his event appearances. ” For now, my focus is to spread the message of happiness. It resonates with people, keeps me going, and allows me to attend events that bring joy to others and myself. These appearances are currently my primary source of income.”
Orry revealed that he receives invitations to weddings not merely as a guest but as a cherished friend. He disclosed, “People call me to weddings and they are happy to pay me anywhere between ₹15 lakh- ₹30 lakh. They want me to attend not as a guest but as a friend, maybe to the groom or someone else. So, my actual audience keeps me so afloat that they want me there at their events.”
In addition to his event appearances, Orry also discussed his exclusive merchandise line, featuring limited edition T-shirts adorned with his emojis, key chains, bag tags, and stickers. However, he clarified that these items are presently available for gifting purposes only.
Despite his burgeoning popularity, Orry expressed no immediate plans to monetise his brand through merchandise, asserting that any potential venture, such as a makeup line, would prioritize affordability. “My audience comes first, and being pricey isn’t the goal here,” he affirmed. “Accessibility is important.”
Reflecting on the overwhelming demand for his merchandise, Orry shared an anecdote from Christmas 2023 when his team received numerous requests for Orry merch hampers, with some callers expressing interest in ordering up to 300 units for gifting purposes.
In recent months, Orry has endorsed brands like Vaseline and CRED on his Instagram platform. His ubiquitous presence in celebrity circles has fueled curiosity about his background and personal life.
