Oscar frontrunner “Everything Everywhere All at Once” continued its dominant awards season run at the 38th Film Independent Spirit Awards in Santa Monica on Saturday, where it won in all seven categories in which it was nominated.
“Everything Everywhere” nabbed the trophies for best feature, lead performance (Michelle Yeoh), supporting performance (Ke Huy Quan), breakthrough performance (Stephanie Hsu), director and screenplay (Daniels Kwan and Scheinert) and editing (Paul Rogers). No other film won more than one prize.
Among the nominated TV series, “The Bear” edged out the competition for most wins with two, for best new scripted series and supporting performance (Ayo Edebiri).
