Pakistan Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 campaign ended after their team’s defeat to New Zealand. However, their captain Fatima Sana still managed to win the hearts just by stepping out on the field to represent Pakistan while recovering from a personal loss. It is pertinent to note Sana had left the team after it was known that her father passed away in Karachi but came back in time to lead her side for the New Zealand fixture.

While her turning up for the match was a statement enough of her resilient and tough character, the bowling all-rounder was seen tearing up as the Pakistan national anthem was played before the match. The video of the incident went viral on social media.
