New Delhi: India’s neighboring country Pakistan on Thursday saved nine Indian crew members from suffocating after their vessel capsized in the Arabian Sea, said the Pakistani Navy, as reported by news agency PTI. The incident occurred on August 9 close to the coastal town of Gwadar in the Balochistan region when the Indian cruising vessel “Jamna Sagar” sank with 10 crew members onboard, Pakistan Navy’s Director General of Public Relations said in a statement.
The naval force got data about the vessel, answered the distress call and the Pakistan Maritime Information Center mentioned a close by trader transport “MT KRUIBEKE” to give vital help to the abandoned group of the Indian vessel.
“The merchant ship eventually recovered nine crew members and continued the voyage to its next port Dubai and onward disembarked the crew,” the statement said.
Meanwhile, one Pakistan Navy transport, alongside two helicopters, also arrived at the area and found the dead body of one crew member who was earlier missing at the time of the sinking of the vessel.

The body was recuperated and given over to Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (PMSA) authorities for additional procedures, the statement said.
The reason behind the incident is still unclear and the cause of this incident can be revealed only after questioning the crew of the ship.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, the weather around Gwadar was good at the time of the incident. Waves in the sea were also normal. In such a situation, the chances of bad weather being the cause of drowning are very less.
Recently, A Pakistani Navy warship entered the Indian waters off the Gujarat coast. As soon as the Pakistani Navy’s warship Alamgir entered Indian waters, it was detected by the Indian Coast Guard’s maritime surveillance aircraft Dornier.
With the signal of the Pakistani warship on the radar, the team of the Indian Coast Guard became active. The Pakistani warship was asked to return to its territory. Seeing the activation of the Indian Coast Guard, the Pakistani warship was forced to return to its territory.
