Member of Parliament Pappu Yadav was injured during a Dussehra event organised in Bihar’s Purnia on Saturday. The Lok Sabha Member was lighting fire to a 55-foot-tall Ravana effigy at the mela ground when sparks from a rocket hurt his eyes. He soon left the spot along with his security team.
After the accident, Yadav said he was fine. “I am fine, it was all God’s grace. We should always be alert from such incidents and keep in mind all the safety measures.”

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar also took part in the ‘Ravana Dahan’ program at Gandhi Maidan in Patna.
