Bakeries around the Chicago area prepare to sell tens of thousands of paczki on Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2023. Paczki, the famous Polish doughnuts are a staple of Fat Tuesday and Mardi Gras. Paczki are made of enriched dough, covered with powdered sugar and filled with jam, custard or fruit.
