Mohammed Shami Ruled Out Of IPL 2024

Meanwhile, a report carried by news agency PTI has confirmed that Shami has been ruled out of IPL 2024 where he was set to ply his trade for Gujarat Titans (GT). With Shami having underwent a surgery now and the IPL under a month away, seems like that report could well be true with Gujarat Titans (GT) set to announcement a replacement for him soon. After emerging as the ICC ODI World Cup 2023’s leading wicket-taker, Shami missed the home T20I series against Australia and did not play any part in the South Africa tour.

He even was out of the Afghanistan series and is not participating in the ongoing England series. His last apperanace on the cricket field came in the ODI World Cup 2023 final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad in November last year where he finished with 24 scalps in 7 matches.
