Yorkville police are looking for information after a bullet entered the back of a house on the 300 block of Drayton Court in the city Monday night, officials said.

The home was occupied, but no one was injured in the shooting, which happened around 8 p.m., according to a press release from the Yorkville Police Department.

Police do not believe this was a targeted incident, officials said.

Police collected evidence at the scene and spoke to area residents, according to the release.

Upon further investigation, witnesses reported hearing what they believed to be a weapon firing one shot, police said.

The investigation into the shooting is ongoing, according to police. Anyone with information or camera footage of the incident is asked to call the Yorkville Police Department at 630-553-4340.
