The exit polls on Saturday predicted a historic third term for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, whose NDA alliance is projected to get 353-383 seats in the Lok Sabha Elections, as per the ABP-Cvoter survey results.

The exit poll results today dashed hopes for the opposition I.N.D.I.A bloc even as projections show the BJP alliance outperforming its 2019 success. The opposition alliance is projected to get 152-182 seats.

An average of ten exit polls indicates that the NDA will get more than 350 seats while the opposition alliance will get around 145 seats.

Three exit polls – India Today-My Axis India, India TV-CNX and News24-Todays Chanakya exit polls have predicted more than 400 seats for NDA.

The exit poll projections showed an advantage BJP sweeping Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Andhra Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal, Chattisgarh, Jharkhand and other states.

While India Today-My Axis India predicted that NDA will get 361-401 seats, India TV-CNX predicted 371 to 401 seats and News24-Today Chanakya projected 400 seats.

On the other hand, the pollsters projected 125-169 seats for the I.N.D.I.A bloc. The highest seats for the opposition was predicted by Dainik Bhaskar giving 145-201 seats to the I.N.D.I.A bloc.

The opposition alliance is likely to have advantage in states inlcuding Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Punjab. Other states like Maharahstra, Haryana and Bengal showed a tough fight between the BJP and the opposition.

The leaders of the opposition bloc parties met in New Delhi earlier today and took stock of the opposition’s preparations leading up to the June 4 counting and asserted they will get more than 295 seats, enough for them to form the next government.

Talking to reporters, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge said the I.N.D.I.A bloc has arrived at the 295-plus figure after feedback from people, which he termed people’s survey.

The Congress chief said the leaders of the alliance dwelt on a host of issues, including the precautions to be taken on the counting day on Tuesday. He said they have instructed their party workers to not leave the counting halls till all formalities are completed.
