The National Investigation Agency has taken a key suspect in the Bengaluru Rameshwaram Cafe blast case into custody, according to sources in the anti-terror agency, as quoted by ANI. Identified as Shabbir, the individual was nabbed in Karnataka’s Bellary district.
On March 1, 10 people were injured in a low intensity that shook the Rameshwaram Cafe in Bengaluru. The blast was due to the IEB bomb planted by an accused in the cafe.
Last week, NIA and Central Crime branch detained a cloth merchant and former member of banned Popular Front of India in connection with the case.
