Yorkville makes the biggest move up the rankings that are topped by Waubonsie Valley, while West Aurora’s Jordan Brooks is the player of the week.

1. Waubonsie Valley 24-2 (1)

Warriors bounce back from loss to Neuqua Valley, win 61-40 vs. team from Racine, Wisconsin.

2. Yorkville 18-10 (4)

Foxes post statement wins over higher sectional seeds Metea Valley and Oswego East.

3. Oswego East 19-10 (2)

Jehvion Starwood scores 15 points but it’s not enough in tough 72-50 loss at Yorkville.

4. Metea Valley 18-10 (3)

Senior guard James Parker scores 20 points, lifts Mustangs past Naperville North.

5. Kaneland 22-5 (6)

Troyer Carlson tops Joe Fisher’s 1,450 points to become Knights’ all-time leading scorer.

6. Batavia 18-8 (7)

Cameron Morel and Marshawn Cocroft earn all-conference honors for the Eagles.

Player of the Week

Jordan Brooks, who has been outstanding all season, averaged 26 points in three games for West Aurora. The senior guard scored a career-high 35 points in a 75-51 win over Plainfield South, added 22 in a 74-47 win over Plainfield Central and had 21 in a 48-44 loss to Plainfield North.
