DAYTON, Ohio — Enoch Cheeks scored 26 points and Amael L’Etang hit the game-winning layup with one second left in overtime as Dayton defeated Loyola 83-81 on Saturday.
Sheldon Edwards and Jayden Dawson scored 19 points apiece and Des Watson added 18 for the Ramblers (11-7, 2-3 Atlantic 10), who lost for the seventh time in 10 games after an 8-0 start. Edwards’ basket with 13 seconds left in regulation tied it at 68 and forced OT.
Cheeks also had seven rebounds and five steals for the Flyers (12-6, 2-3). Malachi Smith had 15 points and eight assists, Javon Bennett scored 15 points and L’Etang added 11.
