Japanese tech giant Sony on Monday officially unveiled its new range of personal audio devices, under the ULT series, in India. The ULT Power Sound lineup includes three wireless speakers and a pair of noise-cancelling headphones with cutting-edge technology and new design language. The Tokyo-headquartered company has rebranded its sub-brand ULT, to introduce “good-looking” personal audio devices. As part of a branding revamp aimed at improving accessibility, Sony has replaced its older products with complicated names with new models under the ULT Power Sound lineup.
“We are constantly striving to deliver innovative audio products that revolutionises the listening experience for music enthusiasts. The ULT POWER SOUND series exemplifies this ethos, delivering unmatched bass and immersive sound quality,” Sunil Nayyar, Managing Director of Sony India, said in a statement.

The ULT Wear wireless headphones is crafted for bass enthusiasts. These headphones offer personalised EQ settings, active noise cancellation (ANC) as well as 360 Reality Audio. They are equipped with the Integrated Processor V1, the same chip found in Sony’s premium 1000X series of headphones. Additional features include moldable cushions, wear detection, and mULTipoint connectivity, ensuring a seamless user experience. The ULT Wear headphones have been priced at Rs 16,990.
