Edinburg Post: Good morning, and thank you for joining us today. We’re excited to talk about your upcoming project, “Summer of ’90.” Can you start by telling us a bit about the film and what inspired you to write it?

Vinay Singh: Good morning! I’m thrilled to discuss “Summer of ’90.” The film is a coming-of-age drama set in during the summer of 1990. In the summer of 1990, a naive young woman flees New York City’s dangerous underworld, seeking redemption and a dysgraphic child out west.A relentless psychopath follows her to a treacherous island, where betrayal and danger lurk at every turn. In this gripping fight for survival, she must navigate the perilous landscape and confront her worst fears

The inspiration came from Orcas the killer whale. They travel hundreds or even thousands of miles, and their movements are influenced by factors such as seasonal changes and adverse circumstances.

Edinburg Post: That sounds fascinating! Can you give us a glimpse into the main characters and their journey throughout the film?

Vinay Singh: I’d prefer to keep the details confidential until I find the right platform or producer interested in reading my project But this has taken almost 2 years for me to get to the final version.

Edinburg Post: It sounds like there’s a lot of emotional depth in these characters. How did you approach developing their individual stories and relationships?

Vinay Singh: I focused on making each character distinct yet interconnected. I spent a lot of time thinking about their backstories and motivations, and I wanted their interactions to feel genuine and relatable. Story start from NewYork and ends at an Island in the west coast.

Dialogue and scenes were crafted to reveal their inner conflicts and growth. I also relied heavily on the dynamic between the characters to drive the narrative forward, allowing their relationships to evolve organically throughout the story.

Edinburg Post: Have you faced any particular challenges in bringing “Summer of ’90” to life?

Vinay Singh: One of the biggest challenges has been balancing authenticity with storytelling. Capturing the essence of the ’90s while keeping the story engaging for contemporary audiences required a lot of research and careful consideration. I wanted to ensure that the film feels genuine to the time period but still resonates with viewers today.

Another challenge was developing a narrative that feels fresh and original despite the well-trodden coming-of-age genre. I aimed to bring unique perspectives and voices to the story to make it stand out.

Edinburg Post: What message or feeling do you hope audiences take away from “Summer of ’90”?

Vinay Singh: From my starting of writing this script, I wanted to spread awareness about endengoured species Oracas. I corelate Oracse with a young lady with a fighting attitude. I hope audiences come away with a sense of nostalgia and reflection.

Edinburg Post: So, what’s next for you?

Vinay Singh: I’m currently looking for a reputable platform where I can present this story. My goal is to find a producer or studio that will bring it to film production and ultimately to the big screen.

Edinburg Post: Thank you for sharing your insights with us. We’re looking forward to seeing “Summer of ’90” on the big screen!

Vinay Singh: Thank you! It’s been a pleasure talking about the project, and I hope audiences enjoy it as much as I enjoyed creating it.
