A teenage boy was hurt Saturday in a shooting on the city’s Far South Side, according to Chicago police.

Authorities said the teen was wounded around 4:15 p.m. in a parking lot in the 10200 block of South Cottage Avenue, a short distance from Gately Stadium when a gunman inside a white vehicle opened fire.

The teen, who was struck in the abdomen, was rushed to Comer Children’s Hospital in serious condition, police said.
