Unless you were a Naperville resident back in the 1970s or earlier, you might be hard-pressed to recognize this Naperville building. It’s Edward Hospital as it looked on Aug. 25, 1972, when this photo was taken. The medical facility has undergone more than a few changes over the years. It started as a tuberculosis sanatorium in 1907 before making the transition into a hospital in 1955. Since then, the medical center has undergone numerous changes and expansions and now has an entire campus, the latest addition to which is the cardiovascular center at Washington Street and Martin Avenue, which opened this year.
