Here are some events happening from March 29-April 4 in the Chicago suburbs and Northwest Indiana
She’s got the blues
Blues musician Ivy Ford performs at 7 p.m. March 29 at The Venue in Aurora. At 21 S. Broadway Ave. Tickets are $20-$25. 331-212-8490; themusicvenue.org.
Ford, a Waukegan-raised blues singer and guitar player, sparked her career opening for Buddy Guy in 2015. Since then, she’s released several albums and has performed around the globe.
Hopping down the trail
The 26th annual Eggstravaganza Trail will be from 9 to 11 a.m. March 30 at Corrine J. Rose Park in Waukegan. Admission is free. At 412 S. Lewis Ave. 847-360-4707; waukeganparks.org.
Children ages 2 to 13 can collect eggs from the Easter Bunny and friends, while supplies last. The bunny trail will be open from 10 to 11 a.m. Free entertainment including pony rides, a petting zoo and bubble stations, as well as vendors, will be available from 9 to 11 a.m.
Egg hunt
An Easter egg hunt will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 30 at the Town Center parking lot in University Park. Admission is free. At 90 Towncenter Drive. 708-879-2063; university-park-il.com.
There will be an egg hunt while supplies last, plus games, food and inflatables.
Look to the skies
Planetarium shows are every hour from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 1 at the Challenger Learning Center on the campus of Purdue Northwest in Hammond. Tickets are $15. At 2300 173rd St. 219-989-3250; clcnwi.com/events/solar-eclipse-planetarium-shows.html.
Learn more about the solar system before the April 8 solar eclipse. Five shows will be presented, including the “Dark Side of the Moon” laser light show at 2 p.m.
‘Streetcar’ on screen

See the 1951 movie based on Tennessee Williams’ classic play that made Marlon Brando a household name practically overnight for his portrayal of Stanley Kowalski. Stanley and Stella are married and living in New Orleans when Stella’s unhinged sister Blanche DuBois moves in.
