An unidentified male victim was discovered fatally wounded overnight in the Back of the Yards neighborhood, Chicago police said.
Shortly after 12:30 a.m., officers responded to a call of a person shot in the 4700 block of South Marshfield Avenue and found an unresponsive victim lying in the street. The victim was taken with a gunshot wound to the head to Stroger Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
No one was in custody for the fatal shooting, and detectives were investigating.
