WATCH: Sindhu, Sharath Kamal Lead India In Parade Of Nations In Paris Olympics Opening Ceremony

Paris Olympics 2024 Opening Ceremony: The Paris Olympics 2024 opening ceremony formally marks the commencement of the Olympic Games. It was an unprecedented opening ceremony as it came out of the confines of the stadiumfo for the first time ever with teams literally sailing on the rive Seine in central Paris in the Parade of Nations.

India’s flagbearers PV Sindhu and Sharath Kamal-led India’s contingent in the Parade Of Nations, keeping the tricolour flying high. The video of them leading India’s 117-athlete strong  team in the Olympics has gone viral on social media. While Sharath Kamal has been the poster boy of table tennis in India, Sindhu is sensing a hat-trick, having won a medal each in women’s singles in badminton in the last two editions of the Olympics.

Just about an hour before the start of the Paris 2024 Olympics Opening ceremony, India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi wished the Indian contingent featuring in the Summer Games the very best, terming every athlete representing India in the event as the country’s pride.
