Bengal Weather News (বাংলার আবহাওয়া): The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast continued thunderstorms and rainfall across several districts of South Bengal through the weekend. Following Thursday’s evening showers, which brought relief from the sweltering heat, similar weather is expected to persist on Friday, offering a much-needed respite.

South Bengal: Thunderstorms Through April 21

According to the IMD, this spell of thunderstorms and rain in South Bengal is expected to last until Sunday, April 20, with some districts likely to experience similar conditions into Monday, April 21. Wind speeds in the region may range between 30-40 km/h, with certain areas bracing for even stronger gusts.

Chance Of Rain In Kolkata

Currently, Kolkata enjoys a relatively pleasant atmosphere, although discomfort may rise slightly as the day progresses. Rain is also on the cards for the city, but extreme heat is not expected in the immediate future.

The weather department has also warned of thunderstorms and showers in parts of North Bengal. Several districts may witness intermittent rain and gusty winds through Wednesday next week.
