New Delhi: Popular YouTuber Elvish Yadav became even more famous after having won ‘Bigg Boss OTT 2’. Despite the love and popularity, Elvish has also received a lot of love from his fans and sometimes found himself in rather dangerous situations. Recently, in an interaction with Bharti Singh, Elvish shared that he once got an extortion call for Rs. 1 cr where the person threatened his life if he refused to pay the money.

Sharing that the incident occured in London, Elvish shared that he recievd a message that ended with the person asking for Rs. 1 cr of the threat of killing him. Elvish then consulted a few friends while one of them asked him to ignore his message, the other friend sent a long expletive-filled voice note to the culprit.

After the conversation escalated, the culprit asked one of Elvish’s associates for his father’s number. “He then said I have a discount for you,” recalled Elvish with a laugh.

The demand for extortion went from Rs. 1 cr to Rs. 40-50 lakh, Yadav shared that the person was asking for money because he wanted to buy a Ford Endeavour. Soon after, Elvish filed an official police complaint against the threats when he returned to India. Elvish was concerned if the man who threatened to kill him might act on it later. Post that, the complaint was carried in media reports and everyone knew about it.

“The police, they caught the guy in six hours from Gujarat. He was an RTO agent who got my phone number from my car’s registration,” he said. When asked if Elvish actually met the person after his arrest, he said that he was given the option but he chose not to meet him.

The accused, Saqeer Makrani,25, was arrested in October last year. As per the police, Saqeer had initially asked for Rs. 40 lakh and later increased it to Rs. 1 cr.
