Woman found fatally wounded outside in South Chicago

An unidentified woman was discovered fatally wounded outside Saturday morning on the Far South Side in the South Chicago area, Chicago police said.

Shortly after 9:30 a.m., the woman was found outside with gunshot wounds to the body in the 9500 block of South Avenue N where she was pronounced dead.

No one was in custody and detectives were investigating the circumstances surrounding the fatal shooting.
