On Wednesday, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi during a press conference expressed confidence in the growing support for the I.N.D.I.A. bloc and predicted that the BJP would only secure around 150 seats in the upcoming election. Stating that he initially estimated the BJP’s potential of winning 180 seats, he claimed that he now believes that their party’s performance is improving nationwide, particularly highlighting a robust alliance in Uttar Pradesh.

Rahul Gandhi said, “Around 15–20 days ago, I was thinking BJP would win around 180 seats, but now I think they will get 150 seats.”

Meanwhile, the Congress continues to maintain suspense over Amethi constituency. When asked whether Rahul Gandhi will contest the Lok Sabha elections from Amethi, Karnataka Deputy CM DK Shivakumar said, “I am aware, tomorrow I am going to Wayanad for his campaigning. I think the CEC will take a call on that. Rahul Gandhi is not afraid of elections. He is a big fighter of this country…He has very good information as he has covered all over the country. I also said on record that NDA is not going to form its government, I.N.D.I.A. will form its government.”

The Lok Sabha elections in Karnataka will be held in two phases on April 26 and May 7.
