Casualties were reported following a fire that engulfed a Volvo bus in Gurugram, Haryana on Wednesday, news agency PTI reported.

At least two people were killed and several others were injured when a passenger bus travelling from Jaipur to Delhi caught fire near Gurugram, India Today reported citing police officials.
According to the report, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Varun Dahiya stated that the fire department was notified and that rescue operations began right away. He went on to say that several fire department vehicles were needed to extinguish the fire.
“Two dead bodies have been moved out of the sleeper bus and several injured people have been admitted to a nearby hospital,” he was quoted as saying by India Today.
He stated that the exact cause of the fire had yet to be determined.
