Stocks swung between small gains and losses to kick off the week as investors looked ahead to the Federal Reserve’s interest-rate decision Wednesday and fretted about the health of the U.S. economy.
The S&P 500 edged up 0.2% in morning trading, on pace to break a two-session losing streak. The Dow Jones Industrial Average added 0.2%, while the tech-focused Nasdaq Composite climbed 0.2%.
